Imran Khan Arrest Row: ‘After the arrest of Imran Khan, his political career will end’, claims Pak Army Chief

Pakistan Army Chief On Imran Khan Arrest: Pakistan Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir has supported the arrest of former Prime Minister  Imran Khan in the Toshakhana case. In fact, there has been an upheaval in the politics of Pakistan due to the arrest of the PTI chief. Meanwhile, Khan has definitely got some relief. His arrest warrant has been suspended by the Islamabad High Court.

According to a report in Pakistani newspaper Dawn, the army chief has said that if Imran Khan is arrested, his political career will end. Earlier, Imran Khan had directly accused General Munir that action is being taken against him under mutual connivance of police, Pakistan Rangers and military forces. The ruling Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) coalition and the military establishment are working together to nab Imran Khan from his Lahore residence in Zaman Park. 

 Imran Khan appealed to the supporters

Experts are giving it the name of civil war. Some are also worried about an emergency military rule to restore stability in the country. According to a Dawn report, the former Prime Minister on Tuesday addressed his supporters and  Had appealed to party workers to gather outside his residence. After which a large number of Khan’s supporters came on the streets. There was a very violent clash between the police and the party workers. Eventually, he escaped arrest. 

 Eminent leader becomes PTI chief

In the midst of this political upheaval, there has been a huge increase in the popularity of former Prime Minister Imran Khan. He has become the most popular politician in Pakistan. The Dawn report claims that if free and fair elections are held in the country, he would possibly regain power and become the Prime Minister once again.  In such a situation, the army chief’s statement to end Khan’s political career can be risky.
