Imran Khan Arrest: Police and PTI supporters face to face over Imran Khan’s arrest, violent clash continues for 14 hours

Pakistan Political Drama: The uproar that started in Pakistan on Tuesday (March 14) over the arrest of former Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan continues on Wednesday morning as well. The situation is still tense in Lahore. More police force has been called to arrest PTI chairman Imran Khan at his Zaman Park residence.

There is a deadlock between the party supporters and the police force for the arrest of Imran Khan for more than 14 hours. At present, Imran Khan has not been arrested due to violent protests by party supporters.

Power cut off at Imran Khan’s house and surroundings

Meanwhile, PTI leader Musarrat Cheema alleged that Zaman Park’s electricity was cut off and it is now blacked out. According to reports, the police, who were earlier camping at a security barrier outside Imran’s house on Tuesday evening, were forced to retreat towards Mall Road on Wednesday morning. PTI workers have gheraoed Imran’s residence as well as the road leading to Canal Road.

Imran supporters hit the streets in other cities

According to the report, after Imran’s appeal after the police used force on PTI supporters, more supporters have come out in protest at various places. Protests have started in Islamabad, Peshawar, Karachi, Rawalpindi and other cities.
