Pakistan Violence: There is an atmosphere of panic in the Jaranwala area of Faisalabad city of Pakistan after attacks on Christian homes and discussions. Meanwhile, the police have arrested two prime suspects of inciting the riots, as informed by Punjab’s caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi himself.
Mohsin Naqvi while informing about the arrest of the prime suspects appreciated the efforts of Punjab Chief Secretary and Inspector General of Police. He said that both the people played an important role in controlling the incident immediately and ensuring the arrest of the suspects. Significantly, in Jaranwala town of Faisalabad district, 130 km from Punjab’s capital Lahore, an angry mob vandalized and set fire to 21 churches and 35 Christian houses on Wednesday on charges of blasphemy.

He said that today’s (Friday) sermons will focus on the rights of minorities, the Holy Quran and the teachings of Prophet Mohammad. ’ Earlier on Thursday, the government ordered a high-level inquiry into the riots and promised to repair all damaged churches and homes of minority Christians.

Video arrest
According to the police, both the prime suspects were identified through a video in which they are seen making announcements over loudspeakers of mosques to incite Muslims against religious minorities. Both were arrested on the basis of this video. According to the police, at least 140 people have been arrested so far. Let us inform that earlier, Army Chief General Asim Munir expressed grief over the incident on Thursday and said that the criminals involved in the attacks will not be spared.
