BY Vijayendra took blessings from senior Congress leader G Parameshwara at a temple in Tumkur. This video of him taking blessings from the Congress leader is going viral. Vijayendra is contesting from Shikaripura, his father’s stronghold, in the next month’s assembly elections. Vijayendra came to the Sidalingeshwara temple in Yediyur three days before filing his nomination papers from Shikaripura. Parameshwara, who is a former Deputy Chief Minister and a prominent Scheduled Caste leader in Karnataka, was seen blessing Vijayendra.
JDS released list of candidates
These days all the parties in Karnataka are releasing the list of their candidates. In this sequence, JDS released the second list of names of its candidates on Friday. The daughter-in-law of former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda has not been given a ticket in this list. The party has given ticket to HP Swaroop from Hassan seat which is considered special. Swaroop Haasan is the former Vice President of Zilla Panchayat and son of former MLA HS Prakash. HD Kumaraswamy’s sister-in-law was also seen as a strong contender for this seat.
