Asia Cup 2023, BCCI vs PCB: A big decision is expected to come out soon regarding the organization of Asia Cup 2023. The impasse between the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is almost over. The BCCI has now agreed to play under this model after the Pakistan Cricket Board got all other cricket boards agreeing to the hybrid model.
The Indian board has also put a new condition before giving its consent. Under this, PCB will have to give written assurance to send its team to India in ODI World Cup 2023. The final decision on all these issues will be taken in the BCCI SGM meeting to be held on May 27. According to Pakistani media, BCCI has now shown some softness in its stand.
According to the Pakistani media, the BCCI was adamant on holding the first Asia Cup at some other place instead of Pakistan. Regarding this, Pakistan had decided not to send its team in the ODI World Cup. After which now he has changed his stand. PCB chief Najam Sethi had said in his statement that he would not send the Pakistan team to India for the World Cup if the BCCI did not change its stand.
