Supreme Court: Being a member of a banned organization will also come under the purview of UAPA, overruled the 2011 decision, said SC

Supreme Court ON UAPA: The Supreme Court of the country while ruling on a case of Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Amendment Act, 2008 (UAPA) said, if a person is also a member of any organization banned in India If it happens, action will be taken considering him as an accused under UAPA. A three-member bench of Justices MR Shah, CT Ravikumar and Sanjay Karol  has given this verdict.
