Nagpur Crime News: Nagpur Police has arrested a 37-year-old man. He is accused of raping the 12-year-old daughter of his live-in partner (Rape In Nagpur City) for the last one year. According to the police, the accused is a resident of Wathoda in Nagpur city. Talking to the media, an officer of Hudkeshwar Police Station in Nagpur city said that the accused was living in a live-in relationship with a woman since October 2022. The said woman was previously married. In addition, she also had a daughter from her first husband.
Daughter of live-in partner raped
This girl was living with this woman. The accused raped her. The accused used to sexually assault and rape her daughter (victim) when the woman living in the live-in went out for some work. The accused was doing this with the victim for the last one year. Along with this, he was constantly threatening to kill the victim if she told about the incident to her mother or anyone else. Police said that due to constant intimidation and harassment, the victim could never understand what was happening to her.
Case registered against the accused
Meanwhile, fed up with the constant harassment, the victim narrated the ordeal to her mother. After this, the victim’s mother went to the police and lodged a complaint. Based on the complaint received, the police registered a case of rape and criminal intimidation against the accused under the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act.
