Delhi Dry Day List: Liquor will not be served in bars and restaurants on January 26 in Delhi. In fact, earlier January 26 i.e. Republic Day was declared as dry day, but liquor was allowed to be served in bars and restaurants. This time, for the first time on January 26, the sale of liquor in bars and restaurants has been banned. The Delhi government issued an order in this regard on Monday. Along with this, the Delhi government has decided that now on Mahashivaratri, Ram Navami and Holi, there will be a ban on the sale of liquor at shops.
Delhi government has also declared dry-day on Swami Dayanand Jayanti and Guru Ravidas Jayanti, liquor shops will remain closed on this day also. Significantly, earlier only liquor vends were closed during dry day. But there was no ban on serving liquor in bars and restaurants. This has happened for the first time in Delhi, when on January 26, liquor will not be served in bars and restaurants.
Delhi will have a dry day
The Excise Department of Delhi Government has issued a list of dry days from January 1, 2023 to March 31, 2023. In this, the government has also declared Republic Day on 26 January, Guru Ravidas Jayanti on 5 February as dry day. Apart from this, Swami Dayanand Saraswati Jayanti on February 15, Mahashivratri on February 18, Holi on March 8 and Ram Navami on March 30 have been declared dry days. Liquor shops will remain closed during this period.
The list of dry days is released every three months
According to the Delhi government, it releases the list of dry days on a period of every 3 months. According to the current list of the government, there are about 21 dry days in a year.
