ODI World Cup 2023, Australia Team: The ICC ODI World Cup 2023 will start from October 5 with the match between England and New Zealand. Before this, all the teams have a chance to make changes in their 15-member team today on 28th September. Australia has made a major change in its team announced for the mega event, including Marnus Labuschagne, while spin all-rounder Ashton Agar is out due to injury.
Australia’s final 15-member team announced for the World Cup also includes Travis Head, who was injured during the series against South Africa. Apart from this, no other major changes have been made in Australia’s World Cup team. Head will not be available for selection in the first few matches, due to which Australia will have the opportunity of playing 11 out of 14 players.
If we talk about Australia’s World Cup team, Pat Cummins will be seen carrying the responsibility of captaincy. Whereas David Warner, Steve Smith, Marnus Labuschagne and Travis Head have been included as leading batsmen. The Kangaroo team has a lot of options in terms of all-rounder players, which include the names of Cameron Green, Mitchell Marsh, Glenn Maxwell, Marcus Stoinis and Sean Abbott. Apart from captain Cummins, Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood and Adam Zampa have been included in the bowling. Two wicketkeepers Alex Carey and Josh English have also been included in the team.

Australia will play its first match against India
One Day World Cup In 2023, the Australian team will play its first match against India on October 8 at the Chennai ground. After this, the team will play its second match against South Africa on October 12 at Lucknow ground. On October 16 also, Australia will face the Sri Lankan team on the same ground.
