IND vs AUS: Australia had landed with this special plan in Visakhapatnam, Captain Steve Smith revealed after the victory

IND vs AUS 2nd ODI Steve Smith Statement: The second match of the ongoing three ODI series between India and Australia was played in Visakhapatnam. In this match, Team India had to face defeat by 10 wickets. With the victory in this match, Australia has equalized 1-1 in the ODI series. After winning the match, Australian captain Steve Smith told what plan he had come up with with his team before the match.

Smith said after the match, “It was too early. Only 37 overs, you don’t see that often. Stark put him under pressure with the new ball. It was a good start to the day. I didn’t know how the wicket would play. There was no real score in mind. It was about going out there and executing our skills and putting the Indians under pressure, luckily we were able to do that. It was one of those days and we were on the right side of it.”

Wide praise for Marsh and Head

Mitchell Marsh and Travis Head, who came on the opening from Australia, won their team without losing wickets. Both players played unbeaten half-century innings. Mitchell Marsh scored 66* with the help of 6 fours and 6 sixes and Travis Head scored 51* with 10 fours. Talking about the duo, Smith said, “The way Head and Marsh played in the beginning, they kept going and we were able to bounce back from the last game.”

After this the Australian captain talking about his catch said, “I do not know about the catch of the century. Glad I caught it today. Luckily I was able to stick to it. It was a big wicket, Hardik is an unbelievable player.”
