IND vs AUS 2023: Virat Kohli made a new record without batting in Ahmedabad Test match, now only Rahul Dravid is ahead of him

BGT 2023: Virat Kohli has set a new record in the fourth Test match of the Ahmedabad Test series being played for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2023. Virat has made this new record not in batting but during fliding. Virat Kohli has now become the second Indian player to catch more than 300 catches in international cricket. This great batsman of India has achieved this feat by catching the catch of Nathan Lyon off Ravichandran Ashwin on the second day of the Ahmedabad Test match. Virat Kohli has taken a total of 300 catches in his career so far.

Apart from this, if we talk about Test format only, Virat has left behind Sunil Gavaskar’s record of 108 catches. At the same time, Rahul Dravid is still far ahead of Virat. Rahul has taken 210 catches in his Test career.  However, talking about the Ahmedabad Test match, Australia scored 480 runs in their first innings.

Two Australian players scored centuries

Usman Khawaja scored the highest innings of 180 runs from Australia, while young Cameron Green also scored his first century by playing an innings of 114 runs. In response to this score, the Indian team has scored 36 runs without losing any wicket till the end of the second day’s play. So far in this Indian innings, captain Rohit Sharma has played 17 unbeaten innings and Shubman Gill has played 18 unbeaten innings.
