Asian Games 2023: India’s excellent performance continues in the 2023 Asian Games. On the 10th day of the Asian Games, boxer Preeti Panwar won the bronze medal and gave the country its 62nd medal. Star boxer Lovlina Borgohain has also reached the finals. Lovlina has at least confirmed the bronze medal.
Preeti lost in the semi-finals, had to be satisfied with bronze
Indian boxer Preeti Panwar had to settle for a bronze medal after losing to current flyweight champion Chang Yuan of China in the 54 kg semi-final match at the Asian Games. Along with this, she also missed out on getting a ticket for Paris Olympics.
In the first three minutes, Preeti performed well and threw punches, but later could not maintain the rhythm. The Chinese player showed tremendous aggression and did not give him any chance. In the first round, four out of five judges ruled in favor of the Chinese player. In the second round, Preeti tried to break her defence. Yuan also received a warning for hitting Preeti on the back of the head. However, the Chinese won by playing defensively in the last three minutes.

Lovlina reached the final, medal confirmed
Star boxer Lovlina Borgohain has reached the finals of women’s 75 kg weight category. Lovlina won against Bison of Thailand by a margin of 5-0. With this, Lovlina has ensured at least a bronze medal. Along with this, he has also got the ticket for Paris Olympics.
