Pune Doctors Orchestra To Perform In Assam-Arunachal: Maharashtra’s Pune based Doctors Orchestra for Charity and Social Service (DOCS) is going to perform for the entertainment of army personnel in Assam and Arunachal Pradesh. This orchestra band of doctors includes paediatricians, oncologists, radiologists and dentists. This orchestra band has performed on many occasions in the past as well. 

According to the news of Indian Express, in November last year this band of doctors had performed in a school in Pune. A retired military officer in the audience at the time asked if the band would perform for the armed forces. Five months later, a team of 19 doctors is leaving for Assam and Arunachal Pradesh to entertain the soldiers. This team will perform among jawans at Misamari in Assam and Tenga and Tawang in Arunachal Pradesh. The theme of the program is ‘Romance Ke Rang, Doc Ke Sang’.

Dr. Bokil said, “That show in November was very good. Retired Lieutenant General Rajendra Nimbhorkar approached us during dinner. He asked us if we would like to perform for the armed forces? Dr. Bokil also told that his team has been asked for romantic songs, so a list of songs from the black-and-white era to the present has been made. Three shows to be held on 16 and 18 April are included. 22 songs have been included in the list. Songs like ‘Señorita’ from the film ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’ and ‘Aa Jaane Jaan’ from the film ‘Intekaam’ have been added to the list.

As per reports, DOCS has so far performed around 250 shows, through which several crores of rupees have been raised as part of its charitable initiative to help NGOs working for cancer patients, differently-abled and mental health sector. gathered.
