Nepal: Indian mountaineer missing after falling from Mount Annapurna peaks of Nepal, rescue continues

Nepal: Indian mountaineer has gone missing near Mount Annapurna in Nepal. The name of the missing climber is being told as Anurag Malu. He is a resident of Kishangarh, Rajasthan. Anurag had reached to climb Annapurna, where he fell into a crevice. Now the search is on for the missing climber. 

Mingma Sherpa, president of Seven Summit Treks, which is conducting the trekking expedition, said that Anurag Malu, a resident of Kishangarh, Rajasthan, went missing on Monday while descending from the third camp of Mount Annapurna. The Sherpa said an aerial search has been conducted to trace the missing climber. Till now they could not be traced. It is being told that Anurag has fallen below about six thousand meters. 

Anurag’s mission is to climb 14 peaks 

Let us tell you that Mount Annapurna in Nepal is the tenth highest mountain in the world, there is a lot of craze among climbers to climb here. Anurag is currently on a mission to climb all 14 peaks of more than 8000 height in the world. In this episode, he was climbing Annapurna when this accident happened.

Anurag Maloo had successfully climbed Mount Ama Dablam last year and was planning to climb Mount Everest, Annapurna and Lhotse. Malu was previously awarded the REX Karmaveer Chakra and became the 2041 Antarctic Youth Ambassador from India. Indian media reports say that he took guidance from renowned mountaineer Bachendri Pal to climb the mountains.
