WHO’s World Report states that it may take up to 2030 to implement policies to cut salt from people’s diets. Because of which the lives of 70 lakh people in the world can be saved. People eat more than double the amount of salt
The average salt intake in the whole world is estimated to be 10.8 grams per day. By earning this, it is being considered to do 5 grams i.e. one spoon every day. Because the way we are currently using salt is more than double according to the ‘World Health Organization’.
WHO Director-General Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said that according to unhealthy diet is a major cause of death and disease globally. Also, the death toll has increased due to eating more sodium in food. The disease caused by this is major such as the risk of heart attack, stroke and other health related problems increases. According to the World Health Organisation, if people eat less salt in food, we have to make some special and strict rules to control it.
