South Mumbai has unveiled the 12 feet tall statue of Lalbaugcha Raja, one of the most famous and iconic statues of Ganesha in Mumbai, India. This tradition dates back to 1934 when the first idol was installed by the Lalbagh Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav Mandal, after which it became the iconic symbol of the Ganesh Chaturthi festival. Ganesh Chaturthi attracts huge crowds of devotees from all over Mumbai and beyond during the festival.
