Weather Update: Chance of light rain in Delhi for the next four days

There is a possibility of generally cloudy sky and light rain during the next four days in the national capital. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) gave this information in a bulletin on Thursday. According to the IMD, the maximum temperature on Thursday was 36.7 degrees Celsius, three degrees above the season’s average, while the minimum temperature was 27.5 degrees Celsius, one degree above normal. Earlier, the city received light to moderate rains on Tuesday and Wednesday.

According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) data, the 24-hour average air quality index (AQI) was recorded at 131 on Thursday, which falls in the moderate category. An AQI between 0 and 50 is considered ‘good’, 51 and 100 ‘satisfactory’, 101 and 200 ‘moderate’, 201 and 300 ‘poor’, 301 and 400 ‘very poor’ and 401 and 500 ‘very poor’. Between is considered ‘severe’. IMD’s bulletin states that the relative humidity was recorded at 53 per cent at 5.30 pm.
