Theft in banks is not a new thing, sometimes the theft is successful, sometimes unsuccessful. Although you would hardly have heard such an incident, in which the thief left a message for the bank after his failure. A thief who failed to rob a bank branch in Telangana’s Mancherial district left a message appreciating the security measures and also appealed not to look for him. The police informed about this on Saturday. Police said that the masked thief entered the branch of a government rural bank located at Nenel Mandal headquarters by breaking the lock of the main door on Thursday.
He told that the thief searched the cabin of the cashier and clerk but did not find any currency or valuables. He failed to open the locker of the bank. Then he took a newspaper and wrote on it with a marker pen in Telugu, “I could not get even a single rupee… so don’t catch me.” My fingerprints won’t be there. Good bank.
He said that the bank is running in a residential building and there is no security guard there.
After witnessing the attempted theft on Friday, the bank officials registered a complaint and based on this a case was registered under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code.
Police said that efforts are on to nab the thief and CCTV footage is being examined.
