A teenage girl allegedly jumped in front of a metro train at Noida City Center station on Tuesday and was seriously injured. Police said that the girl jumped in front of a Delhi-bound metro train on the Blue Line corridor of the metro rail network at around 10 am on platform number two of the metro station. An officer of Sector 39 police station said, “The girl is around 15 years old. He was taken to the district hospital located here from where he was referred to Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi.
Police said in a statement that the girl’s family members are present in the hospital. It said that from the CCTV cameras installed at the metro station, it appears that the girl tried to commit suicide. Police said that the matter is being investigated and the reason behind the incident is being ascertained.
