Border Security Force (BSF) personnel killed a Pakistani intruder late on Sunday night near the international border in Jammu and Kashmir. Officials said that this is the second such incident in a week. The intruder was shot dead by alert BSF personnel near the Jabowal border post in Arnia sector after he ignored repeated warnings and tried to cross the border fence at around 1.45 am, officials said. Confirming the incident, a BSF spokesperson said, “On the intervening night of July 30 and July 31, alert forces noticed suspicious movement along the International Border (IB) in Arnia border area.”
He said, “An intruder was seen coming towards the BSF fence. The forces gunned him down and foiled the infiltration bid.
Officials said that the body of the intruder has been taken to Bishnah Hospital for postmortem.
According to officials, 440 Pakistani rupees, a bag containing more than four kilograms of flour, two packets of biscuits, a watch and a glass were recovered from the slain intruder. The intruder has not been identified yet.
Earlier, on July 25, a Pakistani infiltrator trying to smuggle over four kg of high-quality heroin was gunned down by the BSF at Ramgarh in Samba district.
