Chinese President Xi Jinping will not attend the G-20 summit in Delhi

New Delhi:It is believed to be almost certain that Chinese President Xi Jinping will not attend the G-20 summit to be held in India next week. Sources gave this information on Saturday. According to sources, Prime Minister Li Qiang will represent China at the G-20 summit.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has already conveyed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi that it will not be possible for him to travel to India to attend the summit. Putin said he wanted to focus on a ‘special military operation’ in Ukraine.

The Russian President did not attend the Bali summit of the G-20 in November last year as well. He said that in the past many leaders did not attend the G-20 summit due to various reasons and this does not reflect anything about the host country.

India, as the current chair of the grouping, will host the annual G-20 summit on September 9 and 10 in New Delhi.

Sources said, “The Chinese President is not coming to India for the G-20 summit. Premier Li Qiang is likely to represent China.
