There is news of a private chartered plane crashing at Mumbai airport. According to the information, the chartered plane slipped on the runway during landing amid rain. After this the plane broke into two parts and caught fire. As soon as information about the matter was received, the fire brigade team reached the spot and started the work of extinguishing the fire. There were 6 passengers and 2 crew members on board the plane. Of these, 3 are said to be injured. The injured have been admitted to hospital.
The runway was closed for some time after the accident. During this, Vistara Airlines said that a flight coming from Dehradun has been diverted towards Mopa Airport in Goa. Flight UK865 is scheduled to land in Goa at 6.15 pm.
Meanwhile, the statement of Mumbai International Airport Limited has also come out. MIAL said, “Mumbai airport is operational. The runway is also operational. The chartered plane did not crash on the runway, but slipped. There is no casualty in this accident. Clearance team is present at the spot.”
Earlier, MIAL spokesperson said, “On September 14, M/s VSR Ventures Learjet 45 aircraft VT-DBL was flying from Vizag to Mumbai with 6 passengers and 2 crew members. The aircraft skidded off the runway at Mumbai Airport. “The incident occurred at approximately 5:02 pm today. There are no casualties in the incident. CSMIA’s airside team is at the scene to assist in clearance at the site.”

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) said that the VSR Ventures Learjet 45 aircraft flying from Visakhapatnam to Mumbai skidded while landing on runway 27 of VT-DBL Mumbai Airport. There were 6 passengers and 2 crew members in the plane.
