India’s third moon mission Chandrayaan-3 is slowly getting closer to the moon. On Thursday, just after the separation of the lander module from the propulsion module, Chandrayaan-3 has sent the first picture of the moon, which is very beautiful. This picture was taken on August 17/18 from Camera-1 attached to the Lander Imager of Chandrayaan-3. The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) made a video of it and shared it on Twitter.
To reach the Moon, Chandrayaan-3’s Vikram Lander has to cover a distance of about 100 km on its own. The deboosting of the lander module took place on 18 August. In the process of deboosting, the speed of the lander decreases.

According to the Indian Space Research Center (ISRO), the lander will land on the lunar surface on August 23 at 5.47 pm. Lander Vikram and Rover will land on the south pole of the moon. If the soft landing of Moon-3 is done successfully, then India will become the fourth country to do so after America, Russia and China.
