Jagadish Shettar: Senior BJP leader and former Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar has joined the Congress today. As soon as he joined, he said that he had played an important role in building and strengthening the BJP in Karnataka, but despite this he was humiliated. What did Jagadish Shettar tell the media?

Addressed the media at the Congress headquarters in Bengaluru after joining the Congress party. During this, Shettar said that senior leaders B.S. On the lines of Yeddyurappa and the late Ananth Kumar, he formed a party in North Karnataka. He said that I have strengthened the party. BJP had given me all the posts and honors and in return I built  the party as a worker. He said that I have won from Hubli-Dharwad Central constituency six times since 1994. I have managed to win with a margin of 20,000 to 25,000 votes every time. I had to contest the election for the seventh time. Naturally I wasn’t worried about tickets.

Shettar’s family is already in politics

Shettar told that my family has been associated with Jansangh since 1947. My uncle was the first person to be elected as an MLA from South India. I was actively involved in ABVP, but no one understood the pain. They said I was humiliated for six months. The in-charge of the state at the last moment asked me to send a letter agreeing to retire from electoral politics. Shettar said that there was no other way. Some people have taken control in Karnataka’s office.
