NDA On Lok Sabha Election 2024: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) said on Tuesday (July 18) that it will contest the 2024 Lok Sabha elections under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The NDA said it will return to power for the third consecutive time with a thumping majority.
While 26 opposition parties held their convention in Bengaluru to counter the ruling coalition, the BJP along with its allies put up a show of strength on the same day. NDA constituents appreciated the country’s development and passed a resolution in the meeting expressing their confidence in Modi’s leadership.

The resolution passed by the ruling coalition said, 39 parties participated in the NDA meeting held here and claimed that the opposition is facing a crisis of identity and relevance. The resolution said, ‘Today, the opposition is confused and disoriented.’ It says that crores of Indians have unwavering faith in Modi as the world’s most popular leader. The blessings received from the people in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections under Modi’s leadership increased manifold in the 2019 elections.
Eknath Shinde moved the motion, while it was seconded by the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) and the Asamgan Parishad (AGP).
All the constituents of the NDA took a pledge
The resolution said, ‘All the constituents of the NDA have resolved that they will contest the Lok Sabha elections unitedly under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi and he will become the Prime Minister of the country for the third consecutive time with a huge majority.’ According to the resolution, in the last nine years, the NDA government has truly realized the vision of Seva, Sushasan and Garib Kalyan (Service, Good Governance and Welfare of the Poor). It has been said in the resolution that in this journey of good governance and development, there was participation of all classes, regions and communities.
It said, ‘Whether it is the NDA government led by Atal Bihari Vajpayee or the government led by Modi, it has always worked for nation building while respecting regional aspirations.’ The resolution lauded the pro-poor measures of the Modi government, which have led to a drastic reduction in poverty. The constituents said that the NDA government is committed to the social and economic upliftment of SCs, STs, OBCs, women and economically weaker sections of the society.
