Tamil Nadu Police registers FIR against BJP leader Amit Malviya for Udhayanidhi Stalin’s statement related to Sanatan Dharma

Udhayanidhi Stalin Sanatana Dharma Row: DMK has given a complaint against BJP IT cell chief Amit Malviya regarding the statement of party leader Udhayanidhi Stalin. DMK said in the complaint that Amit Malviya has posted a distorted version of Udhayanidhi Stalin’s statement about Sanatan Dharma.

On this complaint, Trichy Police of Tamil Nadu has registered an FIR against Amit Malviya on Wednesday (6 September) under sections 153 A, 504,505 1 (B). Tamil Nadu Chief Minister’s son Udhayanidhi Stalin recently talked about ending Sanatan Dharma, comparing it to Corona, Dengue and Malaria.

What did Amit Malviya post?

After this statement, on Saturday (September 2), Amit Malviya shared the video of Udhayanidhi Stalin on X. Also he wrote, "Udhayanidhi Stalin, son of Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin and a minister in the DMK government, has linked Sanatana Dharma to malaria and dengue. They believe that it should be abolished, not just opposed."

India was targeted

Amit Malviya further wrote, "In short, he is calling for the genocide of 80 percent of India’s population who follow Sanatan Dharma. The DMK is a key member of the opposition Alliance India and a long-time ally of the Congress. Was this agreed upon in the Mumbai meeting?"

Udayanidhi gave clarification on the escalation

After this comment made on Sanatan Dharma, Udhayanidhi Stalin also gave clarification. He had said, "I never called for the genocide of people who believe in Sanatan Dharma. I have only criticized Sanatan Dharma and I will say again and again that Sanatan Dharma should be abolished. BJP’s work is to spread fake news and they are distorting my statement."
