Supreme Court: In the case of mob lynching of Muslims, the Supreme Court sent notices to 6 states and sought answers

Supreme Court: The Supreme Court has issued notices to the police chiefs of the Center and six states regarding increasing incidents of violence by cow vigilantes against Muslims and mob lynching in the country. The apex court issued this notice during the hearing on a public interest litigation. In the petition, compensation has been sought for the cases that came up in the last six months. 

Court issues notice to 6 states

While hearing the petition, the Supreme Court sought answers by issuing notices to the Center as well as 6 states Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Rajasthan, Odisha and Maharashtra. The bench told senior advocate Kapil Sibal that we will issue notice. The women’s organization has raised the issue of the women of the family left behind after the killing of men in mob lynching. Kapil Sibal, counsel for the petitioners, requested the apex court not to refer the matter to the High Court.
