Privileges committee meeting on suspension of Adhir Ranjan Chowdhary ends, will be given a chance to present

Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury Suspension: The Privileges Committee meeting against Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury is over. According to sources, Congress leader Adhir Ranjan, surrounded by allegations of breach of privilege, will be given a chance to present his case. Adhir can be called before the next meeting of the committee. Where he can present his side in this matter. Adhir Ranjan Chowdhary was suspended for a day during the monsoon session of the Parliament. 

Next meeting on August 30
In today’s (August 18) meeting, the complaint given against Adhir Ranjan was discussed according to the rules. Adhir is accused of working against the dignity of the House. The next meeting of the Committee of Privileges will be held on August 30. 

Narendra Modi was targeted fiercely. Referring to the Manipur violence, he compared PM Modi to a blind king. He said in Parliament, "In the present situation, I feel like saying that when the king is blind, Draupadi was dismembered when Dhritarashtra was blind. Even today the king is sitting blind. That is why Draupadi is stripped of her clothes where the king is sitting blind, whether it is Hastinapur or Manipur." After which he was suspended. 

Adhir Ranjan Chowdhary had said during his clarification that his aim was not to insult the PM. However, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Prahlad Joshi gave a suspension motion against him to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, after which the speaker suspended Adhir Ranjan for a day. In this matter, the investigation of the Committee of Privileges is now going on.
