Opposition Meeting: In view of the Lok Sabha elections, a meeting of opposition parties engaged in formulating a strategy against the BJP was held in Bengaluru on Tuesday (July 18). In this, 26 parties including Congress, Trinamool Congress (TMC), Aam Aadmi Party, Nationalist Congress Party participated.  

After the meeting, TMC Chief and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee targeted the BJP. Raising slogans, he said, “What is ‘India’ between the BJP and the NDA? He claimed that ‘India’ Will win, BJP will lose. 

What did Mamta Banerjee say?
TMC leader Mamta Banerjee said that you have heard the name of UPA earlier. Life be in danger. Be it Dalit, Muslim, Hindu or Manipur. The job of the government is to sell. He said that BJP is making a deal to buy democracy.

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge told after the meeting that a coordination committee of 11 members would be formed in the opposition alliance.
