‘MPs will move towards the new Parliament with a copy of the Constitution in their hands’, know what will happen on the first day in the new Parliament

New Parliament: A new chapter is starting in the parliamentary system of the country from today i.e. Tuesday. Parliamentary proceedings will begin in the new Parliament from today. The festival of Ganesh Chaturthi is being celebrated across the country today. On this occasion, the MPs will shift to the new Parliament building on Tuesday.

On Monday, proceedings of both the Houses, Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, took place in the Old Parliament. Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave a speech in the Lok Sabha. He told how the old Parliament has been essential for our parliamentary system. The PM said that now in this golden period of independence, we are going to enter the new Parliament. In such a situation, let us know how the first day of the new Parliament is going to be on Tuesday and what programs are to be held.

How will be today’s program? 

There will be a joint group photo of members of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha at 9.30 am. Three photos will be taken in this group. In the first photo, all the members of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha will be there. In the second photo there will be Rajya Sabha members and in the third photo there will be Lok Sabha members. Group photos will be taken in Courtyard 1 of the old Parliament building (between Gate No. 1 and Central Hall). There is also a program to visit the new Parliament today itself, which is going to happen till noon.  

Actually, the Prime Minister including senior ministers and all the MPs of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha will reach the Central Hall at 11 am. Here all the members will participate in a program commemorating the rich heritage of Parliament and will take a pledge to make India a developed nation by 2047. Then PM Modi will walk from the Central Hall to the new building with a copy of the Constitution and all the MPs will follow him. It is possible that only NDA MPs will follow the PM. 

How is the first day of Parliament going to be? 

The proceedings of the Lok Sabha will begin at 1.30 pm in the new Parliament House, while the proceedings of the Rajya Sabha will begin at 2.15 pm. In this way, members will enter both the houses of the new Parliament. The Women’s Reservation Bill has been passed through the Union Cabinet. If sources are to be believed, it can be presented on Wednesday. In such a situation, it has become clear that various issues will be discussed in Parliament on Tuesday.
