Manipur Violence: ‘Centre to accept no-confidence motion’, meeting Manipur’s governor, says Congress – will put pressure on the government

INDIA Delegations Meets Governor: Almost three months have passed and Manipur violence is still going on. Deadlock is being seen on the matter from Parliament to the road. In this sequence, a delegation of the opposition Grand Alliance India (INDIA) is on Manipur tour where they met Governor Anusuiya Uikey.

Talking to reporters after this meeting, Congress MP Adhir Ranjan Chowdhary said that suggestions have been made during the meeting with the governor. Along with this, pressure will also be made on the central government. He also said that by accepting the motion of no confidence in the Parliament, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi discuss Manipur case.

‘The situation is getting worse’

Congress MP said, “ The governor has suggested that everyone should work together to find a solution to the situation in Manipur. As soon as we get a chance, we will pressurize the central government in the parliament and present the issues raised by the people as well as the shortcomings we saw here from the central government, the state government.”

He further said, “We appeal to the Government of India not to delay, accept our no-confidence motion and discuss the Manipur issue. The situation is worsening and raising national security concerns.”
