Lalu Yadav’s difficulties may increase, Supreme Court will hear CBI’s petition against bail

Lalu Prasad Yadav Bail: Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Lalu Prasad Yadav’s difficulties may increase in the fodder scam case. The Supreme Court has agreed for an early hearing on the CBI’s petition challenging Lalu Yadav’s bail. After which the matter can be heard in the Supreme Court in a few days. 

CBI against bail 
Actually Lalu Yadav, who was ill for a long time, was granted bail by the Jharkhand High Court, which was opposed by the CBI. After being granted bail, the CBI approached the Supreme Court, as well as applied for an early hearing on this petition… after which the Supreme Court has now listed the petition. The CBI has told the court that Lalu Yadav’s bail should be cancelled. 

Lalu’s difficulties may increase
Lalu Prasad Yadav was released from jail in April this year after being granted bail, after which he was also seen on many election forums. Meanwhile, the CBI was constantly opposing his bail, and had also approached the Supreme Court. Although the Supreme Court did not list this petition, after that an application was made for an early hearing. Now if the CBI succeeds in proving in the Supreme Court that Lalu Yadav should not be granted bail, then the RJD leader may have to go to jail again. 

Lalu Yadav trapped in fodder scam
Former Chief Minister of Bihar and RJD leader Lalu Prasad Yadav has several cases going on in the fodder scam case, in all of which he has been convicted. Lalu had already got bail in four cases. The fifth case related to this scam was of illegal withdrawal of Rs 139 crore from the Doranda treasury of Ranchi, in this case also the CBI special court in Ranchi convicted Lalu in 2022 and sentenced him to three years. This was the biggest case related to the fodder scam. The entire fodder scam is said to be worth more than 900 crores.
