Jalna Maratha Protest: The case of lathi charge on the people sitting on hunger strike for Maratha reservation in Jalna, Maharashtra is now increasing in the entire state. Due to this action of the police, there is anger among the people associated with the Maratha Morcha and organizations. Now protests against it have started appearing in different cities. On September 3 (Sunday) at 11 am, people associated with the Maratha organization are agitating in Mumbai as well. The movement is taking place at Plaza Cinema Chowk in Mumbai’s Dadar area.
What did the agitators say?
Heavy police arrangements can be seen on this occasion. Although it is only a protest, the people of the Maratha Sanghatana told that they will protest in a peaceful manner. The people of Maratha organization told ABP News that they have been agitating for Maratha reservation for the last 30 years. Fasting has been happening every time, but till date the agitators have not pelted stones even once. He said, ‘We have been doing this movement peacefully, but due to political games, false allegations have been leveled against us. The people present in our village told us that they did not burn the vehicles.’
Deputy CM warned
The agitators told, ‘After a few days a government program was going to happen and we were all sitting on hunger strike. For this reason the police attacked us using force. Until Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis resigns or apologizes, this movement will continue like this. Let alone the ministry, will we reach the house of Devendra Fadnavis with a front.’ Politics has also started heating up after the police action on people sitting for Maratha reservation in Jalna. From Shiv Sena (UBT) President Uddhav Thackeray to Congress and NCP have also targeted the government in this matter.
