He said in his tweet that the death of many people due to excessive rains in the states of North India is sad and painful. he adds, "The Central Government is requested to make available an additional relief amount from the PM Cares Fund for Himachal Pradesh and other states." Kharge has also requested Congress workers to help the victims. He said that he is with the affected people in this difficult time.
Directed Congress MLAs to help the victims
Kharge told that he has Looking at the situation, have also spoken to Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu. He further informed that the relief work has picked up pace in the state and every effort is being made to evacuate the people of the torrential rain affected areas to safety despite the inclement weather and SDRF and NDRF teams are working. They told, "Proper compensation will be given to the victims and every possible help will be given to compensate for the loss of life and property. We have given instructions to all Congress MLAs to help the affected people in their areas in every way. All Congress workers are requested to contribute their bit in the aid."
Yellow alert issued for rain in Himachal
Due to incessant rains since last few days, landslides and flood-like situation have arisen in many places in Himachal, in which Many houses, shops have been destroyed. Districts like Manali, Kullu, Kinnaur and Chamba have been affected the most. The Meteorological Department has predicted rain in the coming days as well and has issued a yellow alert.
