Delhi AIIMS: Doctors of AIIMS have achieved great success. Doctors have fixed the heart of a child growing in the womb of a woman in 90 seconds. A team of doctors from AIIMS Delhi told that the unborn child’s heart was very small like a grape, which has been successfully balloon dilated. This type of procedure has been done for the first time in the country.
Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya on Tuesday (March 14) congratulated the doctors of AIIMS for this successful procedure. Mansukh tweeted that I congratulate the team of doctors at @AIIMS_NewDelhi for successfully performing a procedure on the heart of a grapefruit-sized embroide in 90 seconds. Along with this he said prayers for the well-being of the mother and child.

Has been miscarried thrice
According to information received from ANI, the 28-year-old woman has had three miscarriages in the past. Due to which she wanted her child at any cost. After the ultrasound was done to the woman, the doctors told about the condition of the child’s heart, they told that the development of the child’s heart was not going well. After which the woman told the whole situation to her husband and decided to get Embroy’s procedure done. However, after the procedure, the development of the child in the womb is getting better. A team of interventional cardiologists and fetal medicine specialists at AIIMS performed the successful procedure. The team of doctors involved in the procedure said that the condition of both mother and children is fine.
Doctors said that treating the child in the womb can lead to its normal development after birth. Apart from this, he told that we had measured the time, it was only 90 seconds. A doctor who performed the surgery explained that in the surgery, he inserted a needle into the baby’s heart through the mother’s abdomen and performed the procedure through balloon dilation.
