‘CM Kejriwal and Nitish Kumar were not present in the press conference, next time…’, what did BJP say on opposition alliance INDIA?

Opposition Meeting: In view of the Lok Sabha elections the alliance of 26 opposition parties engaged in uniting against BJP ‘India’ The next meeting will be held on 31st August and 1st September in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Meanwhile, on Friday (August 18), the BJP targeted the opposition unity. 

BJP’s national general secretary Dushyant Kumar Gautam while talking to news agency PTI said, “There is no alliance between them anywhere.” She (AAP) will not give even a single seat in Punjab. Trinamool Congress (TMC) will not allow Congress to enter West Bengal. For this reason this alliance is a drama and selfish. In such a situation it is not going to be successful.” 

What did they claim?
BJP leader Dushyant Kumar Gautam further claimed, “These people are the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. They themselves don’t know what they will give to the public in such a situation. This game is going to spoil soon. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was not present in the joint press conference of the opposition parties after the meeting in Patna. Bihar CM Nitish Kumar was not present in the press conference after the meeting held in Bengaluru. Don’t know who won’t be there next time.”

How many meetings of the opposition parties took place?
The meeting of the opposition parties was hosted by JDU leader Nitish Kumar in Bihar’s Patna on 23rd June. After this, many opposition leaders including Nitish Kumar, former CM Lalu Yadav, NCP Chief Sharad Pawar, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge held a press conference. In this, all the leaders against BJP  Had spoken of solidarity.

After Patna, the second meeting of opposition parties was held in Bengaluru. Kharge had told that we have named our alliance ‘Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance’ (INDIA).  All the leaders have agreed in this.
