Chhattisgarh Lord Shiva Poster Burnt: A video has surfaced from Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh. In which allegedly some youths from the Muslim community first tore a poster of Lord Shiva in front of the mosque and then burnt it. Hundreds of right-wing Hindu groups protested on Friday after the video went viral, demanding immediate action from the police.
Actually, this whole incident is being told of Gudhiyari area. Here in Ram Nagar area, on the eve of Holi, some people gathered outside the mosque and tore the poster of Lord Shiva and set it on fire. As soon as the police got information about the incident, heavy force was deployed in the area. Raipur police allegedly detained more than half a dozen people in this case.
During Holika Dahan in Gudhiyari area, some people burnt the poster of Lord Shiva by putting it in Holika. There was a dispute in the matter today, after which an FIR was registered. Heavy police force deployed in the area
ASP Patel said, "A large number of people had gathered today demanding the immediate arrest of the miscreants. After which adequate police force under the leadership of senior officers was deployed in the area to prevent any untoward incident." He said that the situation is currently under control and deployment of police force will continue in the area as a precautionary measure.
