Cheating Case: Former Ranji cricketer duped lakhs by posing as Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy’s PA, now arrested by the police

Ex Ranji Cricketer Nagaraju Budumuru Cheating Case: The BKC Cyber ​​Cell of Mumbai Police has arrested former Andhra Pradesh Ranji cricketer in a cheating case. Former Ranji cricketer Nagaraj Budumuru (Nagaraju Budumuru ) used to cheat by pretending to be the personal secretary of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. The accused cricketer has more than 30 criminal cases registered against him. 

Use of CM’s name and letter head

The name of this accused, who was caught by the cyber cell of Mumbai Police, is Nagraj Budumaru, who is a Ranji cricketer playing cricket from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states. Apart from cricket, Nagraj specializes in another matter, that is cheating. He used to use the name of the Chief Minister and even the letter head to execute the fraud.

It is alleged that Nagraj Budumaru has impersonated himself as the CM of Andhra Pradesh Y. S. He cheated by pretending to be Jagan Mohan Reddy and in this way he defrauded about 60 companies to the tune of Rs.3 crore. Police has received Rs 7.60 lakh from Nagraj’s bank account. DCP Balsingh Rajput of Mumbai Police Cyber ​​Cell told that Nagraj used to call a company named Nagraj to cheat lakhs of rupees and told them that he is the private secretary of the CM of Andhra Pradesh.

In the name of giving sponsorship to the poor cricket players of the state, he used to demand lakhs of rupees from the company and used to cheat the money. In order to gain the trust of the company, he used to send mail from an email ID similar to the official email ID of Andhra Pradesh government and also used to give letters on the fake letter head of Andhra Pradesh government.

He was part of Sunrisers Hyderabad team

Nagraj met the MD of an electronic equipment company in Mumbai. Rs 12 lakh was demanded for the sponsor of the kit. Nagaraj also gave fake documents and email ID to the company in the name of Andhra Cricket Association. When the company came to know that Nagraj had cheated, it lodged a complaint with the Mumbai Police. Nagaraj has about 30 cases registered against him in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.  

DCP Balsingh Rajput of Mumbai Police Cyber ​​Cell told that Nagraj Budumaru is a former Ranji player of Andhra Pradesh. He has also been a part of Sunrisers Hyderabad team in IPL. Nagraj Budumaru has played Ranji matches for Andhra Pradesh. From 2014 to 2016, he was a part of the Andhra Pradesh Ranji team. Nagraj has also been a part of the India B team from 2016 to 2018. He was also included in the team of the IPL franchise Sunrisers Hyderabad.
