Chandrayaan 3: Will ‘Pragyan’ wake up from sleep mode or not and has the rover completed its work? ISRO chief told

S Somanath On Chandrayaan 3: Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) chief S Somnath on Thursday (September 28) after offering prayers at the famous Somnath temple in Gir Somnath district of Gujarat, said Chandrayaan- Shared latest information with media about 3K Pragyan Rover. 

When night fell on the Moon, Chandrayaan-3’s Vikram Lander and Pragyan Rover were put into sleep mode and it was expected that when it would be day there, both would become active again. Right now it is day on the moon. Everyone is curious to know whether Pragyan and Vikram will wake up again i.e. become active?

Will Pragyan Rover wake up?

According to news agency PTI, the ISRO chief told the media after the visit to Somnath temple that the Pragyan rover of the lunar mission Chandrayaan-3 has done the work that was expected of it. Along with this he said that even if the rover fails to wake up from its sleep mode, there is no problem.

S Somnath, addressing a press conference here, also informed that ISRO is now preparing for the launch of XPoSat or X-ray Polarimeter Satellite which may happen in November or December.
