Article 370: SC said- set a deadline to give full statehood to Jammu and Kashmir, then what did the Center say?

Article 370 Abrogation: Hearing continued in the Supreme Court on Tuesday (August 29) on various petitions against the abrogation of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir. Meanwhile, the court asked the central government to clarify its stand on the deadline for granting statehood to Jammu and Kashmir because Restoration of democracy is important.

On this, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta, who is favoring the Central Government, said that the status of Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir is not permanent. In such a situation, it will get state status very soon. At the same time, the status of Union Territory of Ladakh will remain intact for some time.
