When Govinda’s ‘enmity’ happened with the director with whom he did 17 films, the actor said- ‘His son is also with him…’

New Delhi. Govinda has ruled the Bollywood industry in the 90s. However, now he has almost disappeared from the silver screen. In the 90s, Govinda and director-producer David Dhawan rocked the box office. Both have done about 17 films together. At that time, Govinda and David’s ‘Coolie No. 1’, ‘Raja Babu’, ‘Saajan Chale Sasural’ and many films proved to be superhits. But then something happened, due to which Govinda got very angry with David Dhawan. After this, the years old friendship of both ended completely. Not only this, once Govinda had also taken a fierce class of David Dhawan.

During an interview, Govinda spoke openly on the controversy with David Dhawan. He said, ‘I don’t think his son will also do 17 films with him. Because he is the son of David Dhawan. He is educated. We didn’t even know what it meant to do 17 films with an artist. Sanjay Dutt told me that he is Punjabi. At that time I used to give work to many Punjabis. David Dhawan came and I liked it and thought that I can give hit films with him. I didn’t maintain the same relationship with my relative as I maintained with him. My brother is the director. I have not done 17 films with him till now.
