Mumbai. Sunny Deol is enjoying the success of the film ‘Gadar 2’ these days. After ‘Gadar’, ‘Gadar 2’ is the second and biggest successful film of his career. The film has so far collected more than 450 crores. Sunny’s dialogues and acting in the film are being discussed all around. After a long time, Sunny has got a hit film as an actor. Meanwhile, he also worked as a producer and director, but he could not succeed in it. Not only this, he had also drowned in a lot of debt by making films.
Now Sunny Deol has spoken openly about the success of ‘Gadar 2’ and working as a director-producer. In an interview to BBC Asia, Sunny Deol said that when he used to direct or produce a film, he used to go bankrupt. Sunny had directed ‘Dillagi’ in 1999, ‘Ghayal Once Again’ in 2016 and ‘Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas’ in 2019.
Not only this, Sunny Deol and Dharmendra’s money was invested in these three films. He was the producer of these films. Sunny said in the interview, “The world of entertainment is in difficult times. Earlier distribution was very simple and I could control it in the initial stages. There was a good relationship between the makers and the distributors.
Sunny Deol said, “But since the corporates have come, everything is over. It is difficult for someone to wait that long. Actors have to keep PR. Have to run. Distributors will not give a large number of theaters for your films. For many years I had to face a lot of difficulties regarding my films.
Sunny Deol said, “I was trying to do a certain kind of cinema but no one supported me.” Sunny has started feeling that he is happy as an actor. He will neither direct nor produce films now. He said he would do one at a time. Sunny said, “I want to be an actor now.”
