Firoz Khan’s film, which was rejected by all three Khans, made the ‘minor actor’ a superstar

Mumbai: Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan and Salman Khan are the Bollywood stars who have been ruling the industry for almost 3 decades. All three made their Bollywood debut in the early 90’s or a little before that and dominated Bollywood together. Not only today, even in the 90s, every filmmaker wanted to work with these three Khans. One of them was late Bollywood actor, director and producer Firoz Khan, who offered a film to all three Khans i.e. Aamir, Salman and Shahrukh. But, for one reason or the other, all the three Khans refused to do the veteran actor’s film and later the film proved to be a super hit.

This film was ‘Yalgaar’, which was offered to Vicky Arora after Shah Rukh, Salman and Aamir said no and the film proved to be a superhit. By doing this one film, Vicky Arora had come from a minor actor to the category of superstar. But, the disappointing thing is that Vicky Arora remained Bollywood’s one hit wonder, because after this he could not capitalize on the success of Yalgaar. Nor could anyone give another hit after this.

Actually, Firoz Khan was looking for a good looking actor for Yalgaar. Due to which he first offered this film to Aamir, Shahrukh and Salman Khan, but all three said no to the film for one reason or the other. Because, Feroze Khan himself was the director, producer of this film and was also acting in the film. He had full faith in his project. This was the reason that when these three Khans refused to do this film, Feroze Khan decided to cast a new face.

Meanwhile, Laila Khan introduced Vicky Arora to Firoz Khan. Laila showed the pictures, profile and work of Feroze Khan, Vicky for the film, Feroze liked it. He cast Vicky Arora in the film. The special thing was that Sanjay Dutt was also in the film, but Vicky had a bigger role than Sanjay Dutt. It can be understood from this that how big a chance was given to Vicky Arora by Firoz Khan. The film was released and proved to be a super hit.

Feroze Khan surprised everyone by casting newcomer Vicky Arora in Yalgaar.

But, after giving a superhit, Vicky could not show his charisma in any other film. Vicky could not get the success in his career that he expected. Gradually Vicky Arora disappeared from the big screen and a time came when Vicky completely disappeared from the film screen and no one got any information about his whereabouts. However, even after this, Vicky Arora’s song ‘Ho jata hai kaise pyar’ is liked by many people.
