Exact information about UGC NET exam can be found only after the release of the notice, but considering the trend of previous years, we are sharing some information. To apply, general category candidates will have to pay a fee of Rs 1100. It is Rs 550 for OBC category and Rs 275 for SC, ST and PWD categories. This exam is conducted twice a year.
What is paper pattern like?
This exam is of total 180 minutes duration and consists of two papers. The first paper is of 100 marks and the second paper is of 200 marks. 50 MCQs are asked in Paper One and 100 MCQs are asked in Paper Two. If we talk about exam shifts, the first shift is from 9 am to 12 noon and the second shift is from 3 pm to 6 pm. You get +2 for every correct answer and there is no negative marking.
