Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) mayoral candidate Dr Shaili Oberoi and deputy mayoral candidate Aale Mohammad Iqbal filed their nominations along with senior AAP leaders and their supporters. On this occasion, AAP’s senior leader Sanjay Singh said that this time also BJP can adopt any kind of gimmick in MCD, but mayor and deputy mayor will be from Aam Aadmi Party with a huge majority. On the other hand, Delhi’s Education Minister Atishi said that the work done in the MCD at the same speed in the previous tenure will continue in the same way because our Mayor-Deputy Mayor does not stay in AC rooms, but roams in the field as well.
Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal himself is monitoring the cleanliness and development works from the mountains of garbage. On the other hand, the candidate for the post of Mayor, Dr Shelly Oberon said that we will live up to the expectations of the people of Delhi and will work closely with the Delhi Government.
