COVID-19 Cases: The increasing cases of corona are once again frightening. Every day more than 10,000 cases are being reported in India. In such a situation, Dr. Manindra Aggarwal, professor of IIT Kanpur, has made a frightening prediction. He says that the cases of Kovid are expected to reach their peak in the middle of May. Predictions made on the basis of a mathematical model have shown that around 50 to 60 thousand Covid cases are likely to be registered in May.
However, an accurate prediction will be made after a week when the team has enough data to research. According to the data released by the Union Health Ministry, 10 thousand 753 new cases of corona have been registered in the last 24 hours, after which the number of active cases in the country has increased to 53 thousand 720. However, fewer cases have been reported today as compared to the previous day.
Why will Covid cases increase?
IIT Kanpur professor has cited two reasons for the spurt in Covid cases. The first reason is that the natural immunity to fight the virus has now reduced in 5 percent of the people. Whereas, the second reason is the new variant of Kovid which spreads at a fast pace.
Professor Aggarwal said that above 90 percent people in India and about 95 percent people in Uttar Pradesh have natural immunity. Aggarwal said that 50 thousand corona cases will be registered in the coming months. However, he added that it is not a big deal for a country like India, which has such a large population.
Will not be more dangerous
He says that in most cases the symptoms are mild and people complaining of cough and cold are being treated at home. In such a situation, Kovid should be treated like normal flu and it will not be as dangerous as it was in the second wave.
