Beijing: China (China) has been duped by statements by foreign companies on Xinjiang. The Communist government of China has termed it an interference in internal affairs. Foreign brands ‘H&M’ and other clothing and footwear companies had condemned China for human rights violations in Xinjiang province. Companies had said that human rights violations are taking place in China on a large scale. Now China has started targeting these companies. The Communist Party’s Youth League has targeted the company by referring to a statement in March 2020 of H&M on its social media account.
China is angry with these companies
H&M said in its statement that it would not buy cotton grown in Xinjiang. The Swedish brand had said that it was deeply concerned about reports of forced labor in the Xinjiang region. According to the state-run newspaper ‘Global Times’, other companies such as Barbieri, Adidas, Naik and New Balance had also made unfavorable comments about Xinjiang’s cotton two years ago. After which several celebrities including famous singer and actor Wang Sibo announced the termination of advertising contract with H&M and Nike.

EU, US impose sanctions
According to foreign analysts and governments, China has imprisoned more than one million people in camps in Xinjiang province and they are forced to work. Most of them are from the Weigar Muslim ethnic group. On Monday, the European Union, the United States, Britain and Canada jointly announced travel and financial sanctions on four senior Chinese officials. This action has been taken into account in view of human rights violations in Xinjiang. America has clarified that until China stops injustice with minorities, strict steps will be taken against it.
Tense on such companies at TV Show
Foreign companies were also criticized on China’s state television. It was said in a program how ‘H&M’ can break that pot by eating Chinese rice. That is to say, how can a company do evil to China by selling its products in China and making big profits? How can one raise questions on the arrangements here. Significantly, China is very sensitive to the issue of Xinjiang. Every comment about this makes him nervous. He has also made it clear to the international community that this is his internal matter.
