Shweta Bachchan is an author-model
Amitabh Bachchan’s son Abhishek, wife Jaya, daughter-in-law Aishwarya are all associated with the film industry but their daughter Shweta Nanda chose writing as her career. She has done modeling but is away from acting. Shweta has revealed this in a column in DNA.
Shweta told her childhood story
Shweta wrote that she is questioned all the time, why is she not an actor? Shweta narrated an anecdote attached to it. She wrote, My mother says when I was very young, I used to go to sets often with her. At that time both parents were very busy actors. Due to the busy schedule, he used to spend very little time with me. So I started going to the set.
Did not go to the sets after the accident
One day I was playing near my father’s makeup room. I inserted my finger in the open socket and I felt a sharp current. From the same day the set stopped going. This is the reason and truth that I did not have the ability to act.

Skirt was torn in school act
Shweta told another anecdote, when she was in school, she tried to audition and took part in the school play. She mentioned an act in which she became a Hawaiian girl. They were required to wear a grass skirt and garland made of crepe paper. The boys were partners with whom to roam and dance. After rehearsal for a month, Shweta was quite excited but on the performance day a girl collided with them near the stage and the skirt was torn slightly from the back. When she cried and went to the teacher, she said that no matter when all the girls turn around, stand straight. Shweta further states that when the time of performance came, all the girls were walking and dancing beautifully and she stood as if she had forgotten the steps. After this, he vowed never to go on stage.
