Amarnath Yatra 2023: In view of the annual Amarnath Yatra, all leaves of doctors and paramedical personnel have been canceled from June 19, except those given on maternity and medical grounds. Officials gave this information. The annual pilgrimage will begin from July 1 through the traditional 48-km Nunwan-Pahalgam route in Anantnag district and 14-km Baltal route in Ganderbal district.
According to a circular issued by Director Health Services (Jammu) Rajeev K Sharma, “In view of Shri Amarnathji Yatra, all types of leave of doctors and paramedical staff except maternity leave and leave sanctioned on medical grounds will be suspended from June 19.” Holidays have been cancelled.”

The first batch of pilgrims is expected to leave the Jammu base camp for Kashmir a day before the start of the two-month-long journey. Sharma also directed Chief Medical Officers, Medical Superintendents and Block Medical Officers not to approve or forward leave applications of doctors and paramedics to ensure availability of adequate staff during the travel period.
